The festive season might be fun, but it can spell danger for your dental health! Follow our easy tips for enjoying the holidays, without compromising your oral health.

1. Fill Up on Fresh Seasonal Fruits and Veggies

It is okay to splurge a little but try to feast on lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. They will fill you up and help to balance out the not-so-healthy stuff!

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Water keeps you hydrated and your skin looking fresh and clear. It aids digestion and helps to freshen breath. Hunger can often be a sign of dehydration.

3. Head for the Cheese Board

You will almost certainly find a well-stocked cheese board at parties, so tuck in! Cheese contains calcium and protein, and stimulates saliva production, helping to protect your pearly whites. It is also an excellent way to finish a meal.

4. Pack a Travel Dental Kit

Seasonal festivities can go on for hours, or you might find yourself spending the night away from home unexpectedly. Make sure you can freshen up whenever you choose with a dental travel kit.

5. Don’t Use Your Teeth as Tools

Teeth used to open packets, or even worse bottles can chip or break, causing pain and discomfort, not to mention a costly trip to the dentist.
