Follow our easy tips to protect you and your family’s oral health this summer.

1.     Make an Emergency Dental Kit

Pack an emergency dental kit to take with you to the beach or when playing sports. Include saline solution and a small container with a lid, gauze and handkerchiefs. Don’t forget our phone number!

2.     Ensure Everyone Follows Pool Safety Rules

Many accidents happen when children (and adults) are swimming and can knock out, chip or loosen teeth. Make sure everyone knows not to run on slippery decks or dive into shallow pools.

3.     Get a Sports Mouthguard

Ensure everyone has a well-fitting mouthguard. We can supply custom-fitted mouthguards providing maximum protection for teeth, gums and lips.

4.     Snack Healthily

Summer snacking can play havoc with dental health so make sure your fridge is stocked with tooth-friendly, tasty treats such as fresh fruits, crunchy veggies and yoghurt-based dips and hummus and cheese. Avoid sugary drinks and juice and instead provide water and milk.

5.     Follow Regular Oral Care Routines

Busy kids might need reminding to brush and floss as usual. If you are out for the day or going on a trip, be sure to pack toothbrushes and toothpaste.

6.     Book Dental Checkups

School holidays are a great time to book your family’s checkups, so they have a clean bill of health when they go back to school.
